Religious Talk: Science Versus Religion One
Christians believe in scripture such as “The meek shall inherit the earth,” implies God will not destroy the earth as scientists claim will eventually happen when the sun becomes a red giant. Revelation tells tales of signs that will occur before judgment day. Christians also believe that Jesus will come “like a thief in the night” before these the coming of the antichrist. Some are unsure and their faith is being swayed because science constantly tries to disprove God because it has nothing better to do with its theories, conclusions, and analytics.
I say keep the faith my brothers and sisters. Science has made many false analysis and predictions to date which even their carbon dating can be off by several years. Claims of the Bible only dating back around 50,000 years when life presumably began is argued by science because of skeletons of man they found that date back millions of years. Well their theory only disproves the timeline of the Bible you believe we evolved from monkeys or apes. I don’t believe the timeline is completely accurate anyway for reasons I will clarify for you later.
I do not believe that we evolved from monkeys or else God would also be a monkey according to the Bible. If evolution is correct, then everything we know of as life came from a single pool of evolutionary gunk. This would imply that our DNA would be identical to everything else in such a way that we could breed with animals or use their parts to replace our own without the use of drugs to keep our bodies from rejecting them. Science argues things like this through simple theories of evolution that are not proven to date.
If you are Christian then read between the lines. With as much as science has tried to disprove God, would science not be considered the true antichrist? It is science that we rely on to keep us safe from the unexplained and future cataclysmic events. Even our modern medicine uses symbols derived from serpents, Egyptian symbolism, and all of which represent not Christian symbols. The serpent is the symbol of evil in the Garden of Eden. Egyptians believed in some pretty questionable practices which could be considered satanic.
The timeline of the Bible would not be accurately dated because the Bible itself was written by man first of all and not God. Secondly, these men who were inspired by God to write these holy books were not all accepted and some books were kept out of the Bib by the men that put the Bile together. Thirdly, man was not given the knowledge to write for some time after they were created so a lot could have been left out and the details of the story of creation might not be accurately depicted in the Bible. If you believe in the Bible, Genesis discusses two creations. The first creation was only briefly mentioned. Who knows how long before the second creation took place?
The Bible was meant to be a tool for man to create a personal relationship with God and not be an exact timeline of events or else God would have written it himself. Why would he have man write it, if he wanted it to be accurate? Christians believe that Christ will return in 2000 years after his ascension. To me this implies we would have to know the date of his death. If he was born around 6 BC and was crucified at the age of 30 this would put his apparent death at around 24 AD. So the second coming would be around 2024 AD in this case. The Bible dictates that “no man knoweth the hour.”
